Role Purpose
Behind every comfortable guest stay is a professional laundry team that keeps linen fresh, clean, and ready for use. The Laundry Attendant role focuses on maintaining high-quality linen standards while supporting smooth daily hotel operations. Key Responsibilities
Laundry Attendants sort and process linen efficiently before washing, drying, ironing, and folding items according to hotel standards. In addition, team members rotate through larger linen items, work closely with supervisors to maintain production flow, and complete end-of-shift machine cleaning. These tasks ensure operations remain organised and on schedule throughout each shift.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
The role requires safe handling of laundry chemicals while using correct personal protective equipment at all times. Moreover, staff follow established health and safety procedures to maintain a clean and secure work environment. Any lost property discovered within linen must also be reported promptly, supporting hotel security procedures.
Stock Control and Linen Security
Laundry Attendants assist with basic stock tasks to support linen security and availability. By monitoring linen movement and maintaining accurate handling practices, the team helps prevent shortages while ensuring all departments receive clean linen when needed.
Work Schedule and Availability
This position offers part-time hours of 30+ per week, including rostered shifts that may involve weekends. Therefore, flexibility and reliability are essential to meeting the operational needs of a busy hotel environment.
Skills and Experience
