Key Responsibilities

The Long Haul Truck Driver will operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across regional and international routes. In addition, drivers may work as part of a two-person team or convoy to ensure efficiency and safety during long-distance travel.

The role also requires obtaining special permits and necessary documentation for international cargo transport. Furthermore, drivers must inspect vehicles thoroughly before, during, and after trips, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cold storage units when applicable.

Drivers are responsible for recording cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption. Moreover, the position includes tarping loads, securing cargo properly, and ensuring safety and compliance with transportation regulations. When necessary, drivers must perform emergency roadside repairs and safely handle dangerous goods.

Education and Experience
