Job Overview
Roll Coal Logistics Ltd. is hiring five full-time Long Haul Truck Drivers for its Langley, BC location (V2Z 2E6). This permanent position offers $37.00 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week. The employer is seeking qualified drivers who can start as soon as possible and contribute to long-distance transportation operations.
Work Location
This is an on-site role based in Langley, British Columbia. Since long haul driving requires physical vehicle operation and route travel, remote work is not available. Drivers must report to the designated work location and complete assigned routes as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities
The Long Haul Truck Driver will operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across regional and international routes. In addition, drivers may work as part of a two-person team or convoy to ensure efficiency and safety during long-distance travel.
The role also requires obtaining special permits and necessary documentation for international cargo transport. Furthermore, drivers must inspect vehicles thoroughly before, during, and after trips, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cold storage units when applicable.
Drivers are responsible for recording cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption. Moreover, the position includes tarping loads, securing cargo properly, and ensuring safety and compliance with transportation regulations. When necessary, drivers must perform emergency roadside repairs and safely handle dangerous goods.
Education and Experience
Applicants must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Additionally, candidates should have between one and two years of relevant truck driving experience. Strong English communication skills are required to complete documentation and coordinate with dispatch and team members.
