Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Residential Area Maintenance: Cleaning and sanitizing bedrooms, private bathrooms, and resident hallways to hospital-grade standards.
- Common Areas: Ensuring lounges, dining rooms, and reception areas are tidy, dust-free, and welcoming.
- Infection Control: Following strict protocols to prevent the spread of germs, including the correct use of color-coded cloths and chemicals.
- Staff Workstations: Maintaining the hygiene of nursing stations and administrative areas to support the medical team.
- Waste Management: Emptying bins and ensuring the safe removal of general and medical waste in accordance with health regulations.
- Supplies Management: Proactively reporting when cleaning supplies or residential toiletries need replenishing to ensure no service interruptions.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Assisting with laundry management or specific deep-cleaning projects as requested by the facility manager.

- Compliance: A current National Police Certificate is mandatory for all aged care workers.
- Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of Covid-19 cleaning practices and chemical safety (SDS) is highly advantageous.
